Salisbury steak meatballs served with garlic herb mashed potatoes.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 4 cups potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs.
  4. In a skillet, brown the meatballs on all sides.
  5. Remove meatballs and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, whisk in flour and slowly add beef broth until smooth.
  7. Add meatballs back to the skillet and simmer for 20 minutes.
  8. Boil potatoes until tender, then drain.
  9. In a bowl, mash potatoes with milk, butter, garlic, and parsley.
  10. Serve meatballs over mashed potatoes.

Notes

  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Use ground turkey for a lighter version.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
