A creamy and cheesy potato gratin dish.
Ingredients

- 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated cheese (Gruyere or Cheddar)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
- Sprinkle half of the garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Add half of the cream and half of the cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, garlic, salt, pepper, cream, and cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use a mandoline for even slicing.
- Experiment with different cheeses for varied flavors.
- Let the dish sit for a few minutes to set before serving.
