Description

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated cheese (Gruyere or Cheddar)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
  4. Sprinkle half of the garlic, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add half of the cream and half of the cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, garlic, salt, pepper, cream, and cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
