- 2 cups pinto beans
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Soak the beans overnight and drain.
- In a pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
- Add onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Add the soaked beans, diced tomatoes, barbecue sauce, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Cover with water and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours until beans are tender.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- You can add jalapeños for extra heat.
- Use canned beans for a quicker option.
